NORWALK, CA, October 4, 2018 - On the morning of September 14th, Hurricane Florence crashed into North Carolina with 90 mph winds and heavy rain. Soon after, Georgia, South Carolina, Virginia, Maryland, and Washington D.C. all declared a state of emergency.

51,000 American homes have been affected.

The Hard Facts:

  • The rainfall has broken all-time records in the area

  • 47 deaths have occurred due to the hurricane

  • 1.7 million people evacuated

  • 5.25 million people live in affected areas

  • $30 billion worth of damages

Not only has it destroyed homes and killed dozens, but it has also affected the crops and livestock, which will continue to affect the people after the hurricane is long gone.

Major flooding has continued due to the largest rainfall on record.

Although the Hurricane has passed, the recovery process is now.
